We are pleased to announce the publication of a new EuCARE paper in the Journal of Infection and Public Health:
“The past is never dead; it’s not even past. It’s a lesson for the future: From EuCARE experience to future pandemics: evidence-based lessons for a prepared Europe”.
Based on the project deliverable “White paper on preparedness”, this work is a key milestone for the EuCARE project.
Key takeaways:
The study highlights 4 critical hurdles faced during multi-country research: fragmented regulatory/ethics procedures, recruitment constraints, behavioral factors/vaccine hesitancy, and diagnostic supply chain vulnerabilities.
It proposes 6 “Pills for Preparedness”: six actionable recommendations focused on evidence-based science, workforce surge capacity, data collection & management, specialized professional roles, collaborative networks, and evidence-based communication.
